1st International Project Management Boot Camp 2023: Engages over 300 Project managers

Project Management in Ghana and Africa has been a problem for ages yet unsolved. What might be the cause for happenings with many abandoned project seen all over. This is very worrying and in large affect national development. This calls for several workshops and conferences to be organized for rapid actions to be taken in other to reduce or eradicate such hindrance.

1st International Project Management Boot Camp is an initiative inspired by Engr. Dr. Dr. E. A. Gyamera teaming up with Institute of Project Managements and Professionals (IPMP), GYAM Institute of Technology and Industrialization (GTI) and Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET).

The opening ceremony for the conference was held at School of Graduate Studies Auditorium, University of Cape Coast, Ghana aimed at equipping professionals with the ingredients needed to execute a project to a good end.

The Chairman for the program, Prof J. S. Y Kuma, former Vice Chancellor, UMaT Tarkwa, cautioned the participants to be serious with their project and make sure they are well executed. He urged them to make sure their return to the 2nd edition of the conference with be productive, been able to impart each other and resolve all necessary setbacks in managing projects to make our country a better place to be. He also expressed his worries over our inability as a national to manage our agriculture well and still import seedlings for planting to the extent of import tomatoes, onions, pepper and others.

Special Guest Speaker for the event, Alexander Caldas urged the individuals to note that the world is facing a lot of crisis due to climate change and therefore, project management is necessary to fight this. He also urged them to find solutions that will be impactful, resourceful and meaningful to curb this crisis.
