Dear Mr Symple Concert: History made

Ghanaian Highlife musician Koby Symple born Godfred Kobina Abavana made history last Friday with the maiden edition of his event “Dear Mr Symple Concert” held at Pampemsie Hotel at Cape Coast.

Held on the 25th of August, 2023, the debut musical concert saw awesome attendance including Central Regional MUSIGHA Chairperson Nana Ekua Apeatsewah II also known as Queen1, His biological father Kwesi Abavana, Spio Jungo, CEO for heritage promotions (organizers for the first regional awards in Ghana, Central Music Awards) and many more.

The event was ushered in by the official Dj, Dj Mickay of Assase Radio cape coast, with songs made in central region for almost 2 hours. Big ups to him. He is my favorite Dj????????????????

Esi Moore opened the show taking us back to old school musicals which really moved the audience.

Ghanaian finest Singer, Boggy Wenzday took over after and “as you already know” he did what you does best.

What more do you want from them?. Smelling Good Geng gave us a spectacular performances and I tell you, the energy in the room was awesome.

Blark Tana formerly of Smelling Good Geng came in and gave us the best of his songs. Crowd were moved.

Nana Dawson???? Or Kojo Vypa?????. Choose one. Dude is really good on stage. His time will be remembered cuz he really got us standing.

Surprise performance from western region artiste of the year 2022 Ara Ramzy B really helped us to enjoy his good music.

Now the moment we’ve been waiting for finally got at hand. The man of the moment, Koby Symple took over and for almost an hour, the crowd couldn’t sit. He got me emotional with his choice of songs to start his performance. His transition comment got the crowd laughing. “Y3 dze Nyame NE dze ama no. Y3n fa Caesar so nidze ma no”. Awesome performances of hit songs followed. Some songs performed inludes Straight win, Time aso, Due, Osookoo, Ekye, Korle But, Aketesia and many more.

MCs for the night really came on time and did their best to keep the show lively. Big ups Raza Swaggy and Nyannis Addo. Our special guest MC, O. B. Amponsah as usual joked around things to keep his part of the bargain.

Emintsemadze Live band group really keep up and did their best.

Sound was good. Lighting was awesome even though they encountered technically issue when the program commercened.

Heyby Boi disappointed his fans here in Cape Coast for not showing up but hope he makes it to the next event.

The Bonyo Man, Orkortor Perry was present and really supported performing artiste even though time didn’t permit him to perform.

Nhyiraba Kojo surprised Koby Symple on stage and you know the money man???????????????? sprayed cash on him.

Big ups to Koby Symple and his team for putting up such an awesome event and hope to see same in the coming years ahead.
