
The Management of the Ghana Education Service, has announced a new date for the conduct of the 2023 edition of the Basic Education Certificate Examination.
The Council said this year’s 2023 BECE will start on August 7 and end on August 11, instead of the previously announced date; November, shared by the West African Examination Council.
A blogpost sighted by GESHub.org, reveals that registration for both 2023 BECE School and Private candidates have been synchronized. Thus, both will run concurrently
Registration for BECE 2023 school candidates as always, will be supervised by the Ghana Education Service, whilst those of Private candidates are handled by authorized internet cafés.
2023 BECE registration process for schools
1. The candidate’s name should not exceed 40 characters. This means that the name of the candidate together with intervening spaces should not exceed 40 characters).
2. Details of candidates with special assessment needs which require access arrangements should be forwarded to WAEC at a yet to be disclosed date.
3. Such requests should be accompanied by medical reports indicating the specific diagnoses and assistance required. The head of school should also write a detailed report to support.
Note: You are expected to contact the office early enough for assessment by the Special Education (SPED) coordinator.
Please note that it is against the rules and regulations of the examination to register students who are in the first or second year in the Junior High School and those who are not bona fide students of your school.
