Minister for the Central Region, Hon. Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan has highlighted her outmost appreciation to organizers of the National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFAC) for the privilege in enacting her region to host the biannual event’s 60th anniversary, which she recall has took to the opportunity to learn vastly on culture.
The cultural festival which last saw the Central Region host it in 1996 (26years ago), on its seven (7) days set aside to commemorate its 60th anniversary this period had the Fante land host all sixteen (16) regions across the country under one umbrella to celebrate the occasion in grand style.

Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan speaking on the program dubbed “Reviving Patriotism, Peace and Unity Through Cultural Diversity For Sustainable Development” on the august event’s penultimate day of celebration on Thursday 15th December, 2022 at the Adisadel School Park in Cape Coast remarked her ignorance on certain cultural practices prior to the festival.
She disclosed that due to her sheer ignorance on culture during the gathering nearly betrothed herself to one of the Chiefs invited to grace the occasion after unknowingly dancing her way out right in front of the Chief.
