Kormantse Okyir festival: Miss Kormantse season1, Meet the contestants
Kormantse is a well known community found inside central region of Ghana known for celebrating The Okyir festival.
As part of the festival season, there will be a new wave of events with Miss Kormantse as one of the active activities this year.
Miss Kormantse is an initiative by a native of Kormantse who worked mostly in Accra but moved to Kormantse during the COVID-19 restrictions, Adjoa Mensiwa Mandoh is the CEO for Meghan Afrik and Meghan Beauty Care. Single handedly, she is sponsoring everything to make sure this event happen in a glamour moment.
Speaking to Ghanaweb reporter DjQwequ, Madam Mandoh explained that she came back to Kormantse during the convid 19 lockdown and seeing the struggles of most young ladies in the community, she thought it wise to do something to benefit the ladies here thus Miss Kormantse season1.
After speaking to the chief Nana Kwansa Panyin II and elders of the community, the green light was given for such event to commerce.
Initiative stages (Filing and Audition) was done successfully. Below are the contestants for the maiden edition.

Nana Ekua Kofuwah II, Odikrom hemaa for Kormantse who chaired the launching sitting in for the chief used the opportunity to urge parents to groom their children well with good upbringing to fit well onto the society. She also urged to youth to stay away from LGBTQIA+
