Miss Amana, a native of Lawra in the upper West region studied science at Edinaman Senior High and completed in the year 2018. She was part of the team which represented the school in the 2017 IREX world smarts STEM challenge and emerged as grand prize winners. She also represented Edinaman Senior high in the 2018 edition of the national science and maths quiz.

Asked what motivated her to read such course, the former National Science & Maths Quiz contestant answered to DjQwequ of wadupgh that she spent about a year home thinking of what to do next after completing SHS. According to her, Engineering was initially not the plan because her maths was not exceptional but eventually decided to study Marine engineering at the regional maritime university because it has always been the dream of my late dad (Mr. Francis Terabo)to be a sailor.
