
Oprah W. Ewurabena Asante, Seven years from Abakrampa in the Abura Asebu Kwamanksese in the Central Region of Ghana, School at Royal Orchids Educational Complex at Kasoa won the sixteen edition of KBB Photo Challenge, no wonder she was named after American renowned personality Oprah Winfreh. She bested among other finalists, as well as hundreds of primary students who submitted ideas for the challenge.
She caught the world’s attention with her lovely of her photo and modelling skills went viral and has been recognised as the youngest winner of the award scheme.
Madam Beatrice Efua Hagan says her daughter is a photo lover and her love for art is extra so wonder her daughter was, she added that, the winner (Oprah) was beyond excited, especially when she got to pose with the mock-up blimp trophy at the final show at KFM TV, where the main event was streamed.
Oprah was presented with the top award in the prestigious KBB Photo Challenge on July, She won GHs 15,000 in prize money, a tour to Dudai and a year contract of arts School.
Oprah W. Ewurabena Asante was recognized for her passion for pictures and art.
The public was given the opportunity to vote on the finalists for the improving Lives Award, which Oprah also won. Some of her prize money, she said, will fund a non-profit organization she will start this year. She hopes to help “underrepresented students receive a well-rounded education by encouraging Art and providing supplies to underfunded schools in in her region,” where her family has roots.
