Paramount Queen Mother Of Kwamankese Gifts Teenage Girl Pupils Within Traditional Area Sanitary Pads As Aid To Curb Teenage Pregnancy
Paramount Queen Mother for Kwamankese Traditional Area in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) District of the Central Region, Nana Ekua Enyima lll has through her 2day workshop across schools within the traditional area to conscientize girl pupils on teenage pregnancy and the total abstainance from sex has donated over 1,500 pieces of sanitary pads to these female pupils to aid in curbing the area’s rampant raise of teenage pregnancies as guys usually capitalize on some of these girl’s inability to buy pads to lure them to sleep.
The donation which having commenced last Wednesday, 25th-26th January, 2023 saw over 1,000 adolescent girl pupils of about fifteen (15) schools including Odonpo D/A Basic School, Ayerdu Catholic School, Bosome Basic School and Kwaduogya D/A Basic School all within the traditional area alongside its female teachers been reach out by the Paramount Queen Mother’s benevolent act.
Speaking in an interview to Sompa FM/TV Reporter Eric Annan after the charitable gesture, Nana Ekua Enyima lll who had in company with her the paramountcy’s dazzling Queen Mothers throughout the donation disclosed what actually went into the kind act. As there are several account of debt to be rendered after soliciting for loans to embark on the generous act.
Hence called on various Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) and benevolent individuals within and outside the country to look upon these ignorant adolescent girls and come to her aid to do more for these girl pupils having promised them to embark on the amazing initiative every 3months with no funding whatsoever.
In addition, the Paramount Queen Mother on men who intentionally get teenage girls within the country pregnant, called on government for such men to be castrated for life.
She, however, threw in a passionate appeal to these NGO’s to again come to the aid of herself and colleague Queen Mothers within the Kwamankese Traditional Area to establish a befitting changing room for schools within the traditional area to be used by its adolescent girl pupils who normally gets caught unawares by their monthly flow during school hours.
