Brigadier General Augustine Aseidu of the Ghana Armed Forces who doubles as the Omanhene of Assin Atendensu Traditional Council with a stool name Odeefuo Tsibu Darkoh Ampem II, together with Nananom has commissioned an ultra-modern 20-seater toilet facility at Nyankumasi Ahenkro in the Assin South District of Central Region.
The community which had no place of convenience expressed their gratitude for the gesture.
Addressing the community at a short but colouful event, Odeefuo, advised the youth to take very good care of the facility in order to prolong its lifespan.
He said the toilet facilities would go a long way to stop the open defecation that was going on in those communities and promote good sanitation and good health.
Ekona Abusuapain Akwesi Ampomah was also grateful to the Odeefuo Tsibu Darkoh Ampem II, for the projects.
Abusuapain Ampomah said it was not good for places like Nyankumasi Ahenkro, the capital of Atendensu Traditional Area, to experience open defecation and therefore lauded the Odeefuo for providing the facility.
The assembly member for the Ahenkro electoral areas, Mr. David Danny Dadzie assured the Chiefs he would join hands with the Youth to ensure the facility were always maintained.
