Ghana Gas Provides Relief Items To Flood Victims – Volta Region

Ghana National Gas Limited Company, also known as Ghana Gas, has provided aid to communities affected by the water overflow from the Akosombo and Kpong Dams in the Volta Region.

The items are intended to reduce the suffering that the spillage-affected communities are experiencing.

Madam Delphine Dogbegah and Mr Stephen Sumani Nayina, both board members of Ghana Gas, officially delivered the relief supplies to Mr Eric Nana Agyemang-Prempeh, Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO). Among the things were mattresses, toiletries, and other food items.

Madam Delphine Dogbegah noted that the decision to assist the people of the Volta Region was driven by the board and management’s assessment of the critical needs in the affected areas.

Mr. Eric Nana Agyemang-Prempeh, Director-General of NADMO, assured that the relief items would be effectively distributed to the community members affected by this unfortunate situation.

The communities that benefited were Agbozume and Denu in Ketu South, Sogakope in South Tongu, Battor and Mepe in North Tongu, and Adidome in Central Tongu.
