TUDelft University of Technology Scholarships 2023-2024: Apply Now!

Located in the Netherlands, the Delft University of Technology, often known as TUDelft, is regarded as the oldest Dutch university. Applications for online admission are being accepted now for the Delft University of Technology Scholarships 2023–2024 semester. At Delft University, applications for Dutch Scholarships from overseas students are now accepted.

This year, Delft University of Technology is offering two prestigious Dutch scholarships, which are detailed below:

1. Justus & Louise van Effen Scholarships 2023
At TU Delft a number of scholarships are available for excellent international applicants. Justus & Louise Van Effen Excellence Scholarships are financed by the legacy of Justus and Louise van Effen. Mr. van Effen studied at TU Delft in the 1940s and strongly believed technological developments will contribute to solving societal issues.

Benefits of Justus & Louise van Effen Scholarships:
The Foundation Justus & Louise van Effen scholarships include full tuition fees per year for a TU Delft MSc programme based on the statutory fee or institutional rate, according to the registered nationality, AND contribution for the living expenses. Membership in the Scholarship club gives access to personal development, workshops, seminars, etc. This foundation was established with the aim of stimulating excellent international MSc students and financially supporting them in their wish to study at TU Delft.

- Around €30.000 per year for Non-EU/EFTA students
- Around €11.500 per year for EU/EFTA students

Eligibility Criteria:
Excellent international applicants (conditionally) admitted to one of the 2-year Regular TU Delft’s MSc programmes. With a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 80 percent or higher on the scale maximum in a bachelor’s degree from an internationally renowned university outside The Netherlands.

Steps to apply for Justus & Louise van Effen Scholarship:
- Check if you’re eligible for this scholarship

- Complete your Scholarship application (check the admission requirements)

- In addition to all the regular documents for an MSc programme application:

1) Upload the Scholarship Application Form

2) Upload two reference letters (in one PDF document), according to required

3) Upload the English test

- Resume for Scholarship

- Research Proposal or a Study plan followed by a letter of motivation

- Two reference letters in either English, French, German or Dutch.
These letters must be: From either a previous professor or an assistant professor. If you have work experience, one of these letters may be from your employer. Written on the official letterhead/have the official stamp of the university or company. Signed by the referee and include your complete name

Is your referee hesitant to provide you with the letter? Then the candidate can email a scanned PDF of the letter to contactcentre-esa@tudelft.nl. The Candidate’s e-mail must include your complete name and TU Delft student number. The candidate will be given this number upon registering in Studielink. If you candidates this option, then they must upload a statement under “reference letter” in osiaan.tudelft.nl informing the university of this decision. This statement should include the name and e-mail address of their referee.
Please note that Non-EU/EFTA students must include their English test with their application (if required). EU/EFTA students can submit this document at a later stage according to the Admission instructions.

2. Netherlands Government Scholarships at TUDelft
The Holland Government Scholarships at TUDelft are financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science and Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. Part of the scholarships is meant for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who wish to study in Holland. The EEA consists of the EU countries and Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway.

Coverage of Scholarships:

€ 5.000 in the first academic year for Non-EEA students, as a contribution to living expenses for a TU Delft MSc programme based on the statutory fee or institutional rate, according to the registered nationality. The candidate can be awarded multiple Holland Scholarships, based on merit, to a maximum of 3 (€15.000).

Eligibility for Award:

Excellent applicants from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who have been (conditionally) admitted to one of the 2-year Regular TU Delft’s MSc programmes with a bachelor’s degree from an internationally renowned university in outside The Netherlands
